Costa Rican coach resigns after brawl.

The head coach of the Costa Rican national team has resigned after the now famous brawl in Panama. He stated he wanted what was best for the national team as well as apologized to everyone involved including Panama and Costa Rica. That would make two head coaches in the CONCACAF region who lose their job in the last few weeks for assorting to violence in a heated moment.

The act of violence could never be excused, but the way in which Paulo Wanchope resigned and apologized appropriately is commendable. This leaves the Costa Rican national team who have had a rocky time finding stability after the World Cup 2014, scrambling to find a head coach before the World Cup qualifiers in November.

By the looks of it, the soccer federations within the CONCACAF are going to have to take some serious consideration in adding anger management courses as a requirement to coach.
