Mexicans doing well in Champions

It was a good round of Champions league for Mexican Legionnaires. Andres Guardado and Hector Moreno started and played well against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Of the two, Guardado took the cake.

Andres Guardado played to contain Wayne Rooney, move the ball through mid-field, and help on the attack when possible. Check, check, and check. Andres fulfilled his duty and more being hailed as the best player of the match that ended in a 0-0 draw between PSV and Manchester United.

No Legionnaire had a better day than Raul Jimenez. The Mexican striker scored twice to help his Benfica side draw with Astana, 2-2. His two goals could not have come at a better time since it had been months since his last goal and none had ever come in Champions League. Not a bad way to end a goal drought, saving you’re team from an embarrassing loss, and tallying you’re first ever goals in Champions.

Chicharito, Diego Reyes, and Miguel Layun also played for their respective teams but none had much successes in this round of Champions League.
